THANKS for the GIVING CVS!! Happy turkey day to me!

Heres the deal-yo! CVS was...scrath that...is having a great sale. So get there fast, that is if there is anything left at your store. I know that I went on Thanskgiving morning at 8am (after attacking Meijers at 5:30am...but that is a different story) and there wasn't a lot of items left. I do not fully understand that since they open at 8am; heck they turned on the lights while we were in the store already; and there where only 2 other people there. Man...I felt like a die hard CVSer... I am not going to put the brakedown of how I completed my transactions....except for the fact that I did 3 separate transactions; with some awful looks from the cashier...

So without further ado.....MY CVS LOOT!!!! WOOT-WOOT!!!
I started with $25.00 ECBs and paid $8.29 OOP. I came out with $54.41 ECB's back. That is a profit of $21.02.
THANKS CVS!!!!

KMART ~ Friend or foe?

I am excited because tomorrow my local Kmart is actually participating in the Super Double Coupon event. I don't know if I will actually go because every time I even enter the store it typically takes me 30 minutes to check out and I end up with a headache because it smells so bad in the store. So tomorrow morning; after clipping coupons of course, I will load up on the Excedrin (CVS paid me to take) and attempt to save a fortune! I'll post my savings tomorrow.

Do you participate in the Kmart Super Double Coupon Events? Any tips or ideas?

Where's the Beef you ask... At Omaha Steaks of course

I will be honest. I have never ever bought steaks at a retail store before until today. I am a strict Dorothy Lane Market and Kroger shopper for my meat! We are privileged enough to have an Omaha Steak store just open up at a fairly new outdoor shopping mall... My husband is a carnivore so today we stocked up and for a fairly good price I think. Perhaps we are just suckers though for good quality meat :)

12 Sirloin Hamburgers
4 Top Sirloin Steaks
4 Tenderloin Steaks
4 Pork Chops
4 Hot Dogs
10 little cubes of Au gratin potatoes
1 container of Beef Stew
1 container of Beef Stroganoff

Total cost: $79.98
Total savings according to my receipt: $204.17

I don't ~ what do you think? Have you ever gotten steaks from here before? Is this a decent price?

The Thrill of it all. CVS 10/19

Okay I have a confession. We went to the lake this past weekend and all I could think about was how they get the ads there on Saturday instead of Sunday... So there I was on Saturday just sitting around waiting for the ads to be thrown in our driveway.....and I waited.... and waited... and waited... That dang paper boy didn't throw one in our driveway. So me, being the great mother that I am decided to take my daughter for a walk. Well on our way to the picnic and walking trails I had my mother stop along a state route where the houses are way far away from the road and I jumped out of the car to grab someones lovely Saturday ads. I mean, come on...you know they are just going to throw them away anyways. RIGHT?? So there I was, heart pounding that I was going to get shot or something for stealing...oops I mean picking up their potentially recyclable paper, just so I could get the ads so I could do some early planning? Crazy or smart ~ I have yet to decide. So anyways below is a breakdown of my CVS trip...
